Jersey Boys

I spent a few days in Chicago for work. After all of our meetings, I was able to stay and go to the broadway play: Jersey Boys. It was so much fun. It was about the story of Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons. This is the rags to rock to riches tale of four blue-collar kids working their way from the streets of Newark to the heights of stardom.

This is the Chicago version of the 2006 Tony Award winner for Best Musical. It featured hits such as, "Sherry," "Big Girls Don't Cry," "Walk Like a Man," "Can't Take My Eyes Off You," "Oh What a Night," "My Boyfriend's Back," "Let's Hang on to What We've Got," and "Working My Way Back to You."

The audience was clapping and singing along. It was fun and hard not to get involved. I would recommend it to most people.

Do the Puyallup? I did the Puyallup!

You don't think about it until you are there. I always forget how much fun it is to go to the fair. I went to the Western Washington State Fair ... or the Puyallup Fair on Saturday. It was a bit rainy on the way down, but when I got there it was nice. The weather was good and we didn't see any rain.

In the short time frame of 3 - 4 hours, we were able to take in most of what the fair had to offer: arts, crafts, animals, rides, food, shows, people ... and much more. Maybe next year I'll look at my blog and realize that I need to go and spend twice the time. And, maybe, like this year, I'll be pleasantly surprised at how much fun I had while I was there, enjoying the night, eating the food, watching the people, seeing the shows, viewing the animals, and ... doing the puyallup!

August Guilty Pleasure: Sugary Cereal

I have finally gotten enough courage to write about my guilty pleasure for the month of August. It is: Fruity Pebbles and Cocoa Pebbles.

It came out of nowhere. I don't know if I've ever had either of these cereals before. They were on sale down at the Safeway, so I bought one of each. And ... whalah!, I was addicted to them for a month. They did have 13 essential vitamins and minerals ... but they are those sugary cereals.

So, it is now September and I am over them. They tasted so good for a month, but now they just taste like a lot of sugar. What will be the 'next' guilty pleasure?!?
