Academy Awards: Best Picture

Steven Spielberg is the presenter. Very vanilla.

The King's Speech: slow, but poignant.
Black Swan: dark and dramatic.
True Grit: needing to be a little better.
127 Hours: slow, but incredibly pulling.
Inception: big, enjoyable, and action.  Suspenseful.
The kids are alright: enjoyable popcorn movie.
Winter's Bone: independent.
The Social Network: Big ticket, over-hyped.
The Fighter: great acting, and package,  but not what the academy likes.
Toy Story 3: enjoyable, fun.

The winner is ... The King's Speech.  It wasn't too much of a shocker for me.  I picked them to win, although I am not (as usual) a fan of what is picked as "the best".  Well done, though.  Well done.
